Many people have been wondering about the Greek referendum and what’s really happening there. Even though this is not a political or social blog, as a Greek I feel the need to say some things. I am not a political analyst or an expert but rather an ordinary citizen feeling the need to address this issue that is being misinterpreted by many. As you may or may not know, entering the EU means being pressured into eventually accepting Euro as a currency. Ever since Greece accepted the Euro in 2001. things started going downhill. For the last five years, Greeks have been living on the edge of poverty, which caused anger and many riots. Don’t get me wrong, we were never Switzerland, money was never growing on trees.
